The Technical Service Engineering lead is responsible for all Service related aspects of Patient Monitoring existing and new products, both for our Direct products and the OEM products portfolio. The Technical Service Engineering lead will be a member of the Medtronic Patient Monitoring Technical Service Global team and his focus will be mostly around Microstream and BIS, with collaboration with the R&D teams located in Jerusalem in their New Product Development and Released Product Engineering activities. (PDP/CDP). The successful candidate needs to work well in a team where the work product reflects high professional standards. The successful candidate will also be able to face the customer, develop relationships within the Technical Service organization including all relevant regional service centers, and plan/execute projects both with R&D and Operations.
You will Lead and support customers and projects comprised of a broad range of products in the Microstream (EtCO2) and BIS fields, spanning multiple geographic locations. Contribute to a high-performing, highly motivated, collaborative team environment of trust, empowerment, accountability and recognition.
You will lead and set the post sales global service strategy for existing products.
You will working closely with: Contract Manufacturing, QA, RA, Operations and supply chain.
You will be Subject Matter Expert on Technical processes and investigations.
You will lead technical investigations and writing up a report after the investigation is done.
You will participate in requirement reviews, design reviews and peer reviews.
You will Understand performance and test requirements of OEM modules and bedside monitors.
You will be “Train the trainer” – develop training materials and support roll out of new products with all global regional service centers.
BSc/ Practical engineer in EE/ Mechanical
Over 3 years managing a team
5+ years Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
2+ years of Project Management experience.
Microsoft Office Application
Ability to manage multiple projects
Experience with troubleshooting and testing tools and jigs.
Ability to create service and training documentation.
Ability to generate data analysis reports) failure trending & statistics)
Experience with working across the matrix, interacting both with engineers and high-level management, both internally and externally with strategic customers and partners.
Experience with basic project management tools and processes
Experience participating in multi-functional internal and external teams
Knowledge of FDA, CE, ISO and IEC standards for patient monitors/medical devices
Experience with defining, maintaining and validating service plans for electro/mechanical systems.
