A Day in the Life
As a Project Coordinator you will be one of the New Product Development team members. You will work side by side with the Project Managers toward successful releases of new products. As part of your role, you will focus on the logistic aspects of the projects (e.g. processes, documentation, budget, etc.) while the Project Manager is more focused on the technical aspects of the product.
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
Schedule project meetings, create meeting minutes, and track action items
Coordinate between cross-functional team members to support project needs
Support Project Managers in maintaining the project schedule
Initiate purchase orders, track invoices, and work closely with Project Managers and Finance department to track the project budget
Generate and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in the PLM system
Build and manage the project Design History File (DHF) and Project History File (PHF)
Work closely with the NPD Group Manager to implement project management processes, tools, and methodologies, and to prepare the required information for senior management meetings
Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other field of study
2-4 years of experience as a project coordination or similar role
Experience with processes that require rigorous documentation
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent English – written and verbal
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong organization and planning skills, including multi-tasking ability
Team player – Ability to work with cross-functional team members to complete project deliverables
Nice to Have:
Experience with product development processes that require rigorous documentation
Experience in the medical device industry
Proficiency with Agile PLM system and the ECO process
Experience in a global, multi-site organization
Experience with a Project Management Office (PMO)
