About The Position
Freightos is bringing freight online with the world’s largest global freight marketplace. Almost everything we eat, wear or use is shipped or flown by the global freight industry, but its technology is stuck in the ’90s….and we’re changing that. Beyond helping thousands of top tier companies worldwide, we’ve raised nearly $100 million from investors like GE Ventures, the Singapore Exchange and Aleph, and have gotten the BBC, TechCrunch, and the Wall Street Journal excited in the process..
Changing global trade starts with shipping great code.
We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our growing Jerusalem R&D team, cause freight needs that spit and polish that only a phenomenal front-end person can apply. Perfect candidates love solving complex problems (why did the container cross the road) and enjoy building customer-critical products. It helps that they’re used to generate millions of dollars of revenue. Cha-ching. We’re looking for engineers that enjoy facing technological challenges, are able to come up with creative solutions, liked the Big Lebowski (but we can be flexible on that)m and build reliable products that respond to millions API calls without breaking a sweat.
Our products manage millions of pricing points, hundreds of thousands of quotes and millions of location codes.
You’ll contribute to every part of the development and deployment cycle, including design, workload estimation, development, integration, documentation, testing and post production operations and support. And then do more of the same after lunch. You’re an excellent communicator (no need to have been in debate club though), self-driven, and you deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment (it can take a shipment 24 hours to make it from Shenzhen to New York. We can ship code way, way faster). Our engineers take ownership for what they build and adopt a customer-first mentality. They also order hamburgers strangely often but that’s their thing and we’re cool with it.
We are looking for engineers who treat their code like a Furby, giving every single line of their code the love it deserves, while enjoying robust technical discussions with their peers to always keep improving Freightos quality standards, while still allowing our ship to rapidly change course when required.
