- Maintain availability and performance for all SaaS production databases.
- Support and maintain multiple DB technologies – Oracle, MS SQL, MySql, Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgres.
- Pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
- Interface with other infrastructure departments in order to improve and implement process, procedures and automation.
- Regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements.
- Provide second level escalation support for the Support Center.
- Participate in 24*7 On Call Duty rotation.
- Working closely with other team leads and their technical teams to ensure delivery of database services within the performance targets set.
- S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training
- 3+ years hands on experience with Database Administration/support for Oracle version 11/12 in 24×7 Linux based production environments. – Mandatory
- Experience with one or more of the following MS SQL , MySql, Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgress – Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Unix shell or Perl scripting languages.
- Strong troubleshooting skills within and outside database environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/SQL*Plus and understanding of PL/SQL
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL Tuning.
- Strong Knowledge of Database Backup and recovery using RMAN and logical backups.
- Quick Learner of new technologies
- Team Player, ability to work in a global team
- Strong communication skills and customer-support focused attitude
- Very good level of English
