  • Position description:
  • A Product Marketing Manager (PMM) at Ex Libris is a diverse and rewarding role.
  • The PMM has overall responsibility for defining and managing go-to-market activities and creating marketing deliverables for product launches, developing positioning and messaging content for Sales collateral and presentations.
  • The PMM has a central role in driving business success, and must be able to interface effectively and establish quick credibility with relevant teams, including Sales, Product Management, Regional Marketing, Customer Success, as well as communicating directly with customers.
  • The Product Marketing Manager will also serve as the liaison between the business unit and the regional teams.
  • This position requires an extremely talented and flexible individual with strong presentation skills, adept business knowledge, organizational abilities, and who is capable of bridging customer business requirements to technical feature set and broader market trends.
  • This role will report to the Director of Product Marketing, Learning & Research Solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end responsibility for defining marketing programs and managing their execution for creating demand and awareness.
  • Creating customer-facing materials to communicate the value proposition to the market.
  • Managing Sales enablement activities and internal promotion of product success.
  • Ongoing communication to customer base around product releases, roadmap, and webinars.
  • Close collaboration and alignment with regional marketing and product management teams.
  • Planning and participating in customer-facing activities (business meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.).
  • Tracking and reporting of marketing activities.
  • Contributing to overall company marketing program, including portfolio messaging, website, key events, and communications.

  • Relevant Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business studies, or a technical field (MBA preferred).
  • Requirements:
  • 3+ years of product marketing/product management experience.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and Sales teams.
  • Creative thinking – ability to create relevant, innovative and clear ways of communicating product and business value.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • This position requires occasional travel to conferences and customer sites.
  • Experience in the higher education industry is ideal (big plus).
  • Required languages:
  • English at a very high level, written and spoken.
